Last night, Apple started sending out email notifications to customers informing them that their pre-ordered iPhone 4s were going to arrive a day early on June 23rd instead of the 24th as indicated buy the Apple Store site and FedEx tracking. It states that even though the Apple Store and FedEx indicate a June 24th delivery date that they will be able to visit FedEx tracking on the 23rd and track the delivery to their doorsteps on that day. Note, there is an odd grammatical error in the message but nothing indicates that this is not a legitimate Apple email. Links point to the appropriate URLs and not some oddball URL which would indicate a phising scam. But to be on the safe side and you wish to view the status of your order type http://store.apple.com/ into your browser’s address bar and check the status there. |
