Apple has announced that the Wi-Fi only iPad will go sale in the US on April 3rd and pre-orders for the device will start March 12th on Apple’s online store. The 3G enabled model will go on sale towards the end of April.

The iPad will be released in late April in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Prices in those countries will be announced in April and iPad will ship in additional countries later this year.
