WTF!? Non-Pokémon Professor Wins North American Professor Cup! ![]() In what can only be the biggest case of “WTF!?”, it turns out that the 1st place winner of the Pokémon North American Professor Cup – a tournament that only Pokémon Professors that meet certain requirements can play in as a thank you for all their hard work throughout the year in the Pokémon TCG – was not a Pokémon Professor at all. A one Aydan Aires posted an article on Six Parizes, describing how he was able to enter the tournament and win the whole thing. Now, this wouldn’t be such a big deal. After all, the Professor cup is meant to be a fun tournament with unusual rules that isn’t officially sanctioned. However, it’s suppose to be a privilege to play in a such an event since most Professors are usually staffing other events and don’t get to play as much as they would like to. Also the fact that there was some pretty big prizes awarded at this event. 1st place got 22 Booster Packs, an Amazon Kindle, a Professor Backpack, and a really sweet 1st place Trophy. Is Aydan giving it all back? Not at all! He sold the booster packs for $30, will probably sell the Kindle for a laptop, gave the backpack to a friend and is currently selling the trophy on eBay. Not to mention that the scumbag is gloating about it (even though he claims to feel guilty). There’s been a huge outcry by many players over this already and many are speculating that Aydan will most likely receive a lifetime ban from the game over this. But how did this even happen in the first place? Isn’t someone suppose to be checking everyone’s name that enters against some kind of list of qualified players? It’s not like there are that many Professors in the USA. At least not that many that would meet the requirements to play. Sources: SHARE AND COMMENT |
