Developer of beloved Bomberman will be shutting down production and closing it’s doors for the last time on March 1st. After being the long standing majority share holder for a long time, Konami Corporation finally acquired all outstanding shares of Hudson and will now be fully absorbing the company.

Konami plans to have a single organization dedicated to game development. including in the mobile and social gaming area. As such Hudson will be shutdown for good. This doesn’t mean it will be the last we see of Bomberman and Bonk though. Konami now owns all the rights to Hudson’s classic lineup. So who knows, we might just see them in the future.
